Busy life = Not much time to sit back and relax to watch a movie with my boys. So, here was a perfect opportunity to enjoy a heartwarming and funny tale about a bear in the big city – Paddington Bear. And since this is a rare occasion to do, we decided to have some fun with it and have Paddington inspired snacks while we watched on a Saturday afternoon.
Nothing satisfies Paddington’s cravings like marmalade sandwiches!
- 8 ounce whipped cream cheese
- 12 slices french bread
- 3/4 cup orange marmalade
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsp milk
- maple syrup (optional)
- Spread cream cheese over six slices of bread; add a layer of marmalade and top with the remaining slices of bread
- In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk
- Lightly grease a griddle or skillet over medium heat
- Dip both sides of sandwiches into the egg and milk mixture
- Toast the sandwiches 2-3 minutes on each side or until browned
- Serve with syrup, if desired

You can’t have a movie without popcorn! We have a feeling that Paddington would approve of the bear-y special addition to this tasty mix.
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 2 cups bear-shaped graham crackers (Teddy Grahams)
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pretzels
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light-colored corn syrup
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- cooking spray
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Combine the popcorn, crackers and pretzels in a large bowl. Spread mixture onto a jelly-roll pan lined with foil and coated with cooking spray.
- Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cover and cook 1 minute. Uncover and cook, without stirring, for another 5 minutes.
- Drizzle the sugar mixture over popcorn mixture; toss to coat
- Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring once.
- Cool completely on a wire rack in a pan and break into large pieces.

I was planning on making cupcakes but instead just made a cake! Have you tried the Duff Goldman wild thing cake mix with cream cheese frosting? Delicious!! (As you can see I am not much of a baker or decorator) But I tried!
These are just a few suggestions to bring the Paddington movie to life! You can also check out PaddingtonParties.com for more ideas on food, games and decorations. #PaddingtonMovie
